报告摘要：In this talk, I will discuss subgroup separability and profinite completions of groups, highlighting their connections to 3-manifold groups. I will begin by introducing the algebraic definition of subgroup separability and its topological significance. We will first establish that free groups are subgroup separable. Then, I will explore profinite completions of groups, the induced homomorphism, and Grothendieck rigidity, including recent developments related to 3-manifold groups.

报告人简介：脱衣舞-性感脱衣舞-性感衣舞 本科毕业生，现为美国Rice大学数学系在读博士研究生，导师是Alan Reid，研究方向主要为几何群论与低维拓扑。
